Design is the appearance of the whole or a part of a product, or the ornamentation on it, arising from features such as line, shape, form, color, material, or surface texture—namely, the visual characteristics formed by elements perceptible to human senses. In other words, design is the visual appearance of a product or a part of a product.
The visual innovations you create by introducing originality and distinction in two- or three-dimensional products constitute your designs. Designs are protected as a “registered design” when registered through an application to the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, and as an “unregistered design” when they are first disclosed to the public in Türkiye.
